First baby pictures are often so cute but I think we jumped the gun a little on this one. The baby embryo is only 9 weeks along and a total of 2.42cm short ... long. Today was Jen's first doctor's appointment and she brought home our [soon to be] baby's first portrait. The picture isn't really all that clear, but the embryo is the little light colored lump in the middle of the slightly bigger dark mass. Jen was able to see it's heart beating and legs and arms flailing ... okay maybe it was just the legs kicking but you'd have to ask her for the real details. Jen is really happy because the doctor says that so far the baby's healthy.
