Christmas

Normally I would have gone to La Grande for Christmas this year, but because Jen and I moved we stayed in Salt Lake (Sandy) for Christmas. It turns out that had we gone we might not have made it there as I84 closed. I'm not too sure where it closed but between Ladd Canyon and Cabbage Hill I think that it might have been one of those. But Jessica flew into Portland and couldn't get to La Grande because I84 was closed so I don't know, the Boise side might have been clear.

As far as presents go I got mine early because I needed to use it for my classes and finals. I got a Nintendo DS, yes to help with classes! There is a program for the Nintendo DS that is a Japanese-English Dictionary (和英辞典) that does character recognition. Normally an electronic dictionary with those features would cost anywhere from $500 to $800 so spending about $150 for something that can act as something more than just a dictionary is a pretty good deal.
