Inflected Forms

未然形(みぜんけい) Imperfective Form

The action has not yet taken place whether intentions exist or is in the negative form.

連用形(れんようけい) Continuative Form

The action is either taking place or has all ready taken place.

終止形(しゅうしけい) Final Form

The action is taking place and it marks the end of a sentence.

連体形(れんたいけい) Attributive Form

The action directly modifies a noun or pronoun (nominal) or implied nominal.

已然形(いぜんけい) Perfective Form

The action has already taken place and is often followed by a conjunctive particle.

命令形(めいれいけい) Imperative Form

The action as a command.
